Scout was born Sat. September 3, 2011 at 1:45 am. She was born with a pneumothorax, a hole in her lung, which prevented her from breathing. She was taken to the NICU and put on several machines and antibiotics to help her. We called family and were able to give her a blessing at 4 am that same morning and after that she made an incredibly fast recovery. By her Sunday night x-ray the doctors could no longer see a pneumothorax and were thinking that maybe they misdiagnosed her. Alex and I have no doubt that her condition was real but that thanks to the wonderful priesthood blessing she was given and the many prayers offered in her behalf between Saturday and Monday she is now in perfect condition. She was able to be discharged with me on Monday afternoon and we are all doing very well.
